Vertigo Or Something More Serious

to Serbia (Srpski Film)

An old friend who has spent several years living between France and Italy, told me one day in casual conversation, that the Serbs were the worst thing a person could be found in Europe and that short, were the "Colombians," the old continent. Today, thanks to this movie I saw that they are even better than us, or at least have the courage to make films true to their violent history, contrary to what happens in these latitudes where the tacky and vulgar humor becomes a mediocre way to hide our nature murderous and bloody history.
"A Serbian Film" is preceded by a lot of news and reviews, favorable or unfavorable from the point of view. Vetoed in the Fantastic Film Festival San Sebastian for a court order, adding to veto an abominable amount of applications-especially Catholic confederations and parents - to prevent their distribution, projection or the ability to download via internet. On the other hand, many critics, reviews and images that were leaked online, is praised as a raw sample of the purest spirit of gore movies, and ultimately, one's freedom of expression.
What is causing the fuss? What is in this film that makes them targets for criticism and praise everywhere? The film tells the story of a Serbian porn star retired, passing through economic hardship with his wife and son due to the cessation of its activities. Then see a former partner of "job", who convinces him to labor under the command of an eccentric porn director and experimental art. Milo, the main actor, you agree not quite sure how things are going, until the porn just starts to turn into a vortex which will accommodate sadomasochism, snuff, torture, pedophilia, necrophilia, murder and incest . Nice, right?

first thing I have to say is that it is difficult to obtain a product with a decent subtitles in English, so I recommend downloading it directly with subtitles in English and not waste time with rough copies of a bad Castilian. About the film: Being clear and direct, we are talking about a product sick, demented and disturbing that shows the worst of the breed human. The writer himself, Srdjan Spasojevic Perhaps most disturbing about this film is how little is shown. For those hoping for a festival of hemoglobin, dismemberment and blood rain, cravings or be disappointed because it is not, goes further. Is a direct attack on concepts that are rooted in our minds and generally represent the "good" human beings - family, childhood innocence, sexual freedom, loyalty to the brothers - notions that will be spattered with blood and semen at the end of the film. This is especially the tape making a direct hit to the liver or testes. But beware, despite not being a work 100% explicit, contains some of the most disturbing scenes ever recorded, at least in the snuff-film is not dressed for the excellent performance of Srdjan Spasojevic (the main character) who gets
transmit perfectly the anguish and pain of the character with the gradual emergence of their most secret animal instincts.

"A Serbian Film" surely polarize its viewers. For some it may be the most disgusting, repulsive and unnecessary they see in their lives. For others it can become a work of art worthy of worship as a "cult movie." In my case I prefer to stay on neutral ground and merely note that very likely will not either when see this tape. Movies like "Saw" are only children bedtime stories in front of film violence Serbia.

THE WALKING DEAD Misanthropy (TV SERIES): FIRST IMPRESSIONS CHAPTER

Latin America was unveiled yesterday for the much awaited version of the hit TV IMAGE comic "The Walking Dead, created by Robert Kirkman in 2003. Input could be talking about a positive balance in favor of the television adaptation, and writing as a fan to the death of the comic, I can say I've been especially pleased with two points: 1. The remarkable fidelity to the comic. 2. The impeccable staging.
If anything gave us the first chapter was a nice feeling of loyalty and respect for the development of the original story written. Since the initial shooting, passing by the scene of the hospital and meeting with Morgan, to the first zombie with which it interacts and the arrival Rick rode to Atlanta, everyone is properly tailored events as they were drawn in the first two issues series. And on the staging, apparently spared no expense for the makeup are more than correct, there are hordes of zombies (as in the scene of Atlanta), a good deal of blood (considering it is a TV series) and also the narrative continuity is accurate, it is not the same as telling a story through vignettes that do run in a space of 48 minutes duration. If something is special about the comic is that it brings the reader to fully enter into it: to live what the character is living, suffer with the unexpected deaths of characters you would not expect to die so soon, look at the complexity of human relationships among Extreme situations ... if the director manages to awaken these feelings in the viewer is sure to be a series as successful as the comic itself. If I have to talk about the "buts" I will ruthlessly: The actor chosen to make Shane (friend Rick police) is far much of the comic book character, he looks weak and has idiot face. On the other hand, for those who have already read the comic (which is at # 78), probably the series give us a few plot surprises (eg we all know in the next chapter is the one who rescues Rick from the zombie horde Atlanta, what is the fate of Shane and Lori, etc.) Although details such as the war tank used as a shelter at the end of the episode (an element not in the original comic) does provide that the series will give us time "novel" that probably make the story more interesting. PD1: I can not wait to see the staging of the siege of the prison Woodbury, for me, the climax of the story. PD2: sovereign SUCCESSFUL the choice of the beautiful Sarah Wayne Callis as Lori. An ode to female beauty.
