And here we go again. A new year is dying, but that leaves us invaluable musical jewels of value, sound treasures ranging from the lively folk metal, through the brutal Death Metal and leading inevitably to the cold and desolate confines of Viking Metal. More than three hundred days spent listening productions coming from all over the globe, more than 200 transit records that made my brain and now humbly give to you who I considered as the top 10 of this annuity. Some new bands emerged, others were strengthened and ancient musical legends returned with remarkable work, although in other cases it is shaped as a huge disappointment for Kamelot with his "Poetry for the Poisoned" or the legendary band Down with his failed attempt to live album called "Diary of a Mad Band."
goes without saying that I do not get any financial compensation for sharing music download links, and music, the beautiful art of the Muses, is a gift that eons ago, inspiring and beautiful goddesses Calliope, Melpomene and Polyhymnia, We make the unfortunate to cope with our heavy human and miserable existence. Without further ado, here we go:

From the little Swiss rock comes the fourth album by this powerful band that combines perfectly the Melodic Death Metal with Folk and Celtic music elements, resulting in a unique sound quite unique.
made in previous interviews with the band, several of its members had stated that "Everything Remains ..." would be their heaviest album. Well, after a few listeners can confirm that it is true that this is a disc where the Death Metal spurts, but always spiced by flutes, bagpipes and other instruments, as well as the female voices that continue to have a leading role in this symphony of extreme metal with Celtic music.
Highlights: "Nil" and "Everything Remains As It Never Was"

Download power metal, with the help of guest musicians such as Michael Kiske (ex-Helloween), Russell Allen (Symphony X), Klaus Meine (Scorpions), Tim "The Ripper" Owens (ex-Judas Priest, ex-Iced Earth ), André Matos (ex-Angra) and I consider the best heavy metal singer of recent times: Jorn Lande (Masterplan). Obviously it's an album that lacks the spark of old in his first two deliveries - "The Metal Opera" - but it is a very well-composed piece, built and run, full of good songs, many of which will be hanging around in memory for a long time. Do not forget that in parallel with this album was released the third part of the trilogy entitled "Angel of Babylon", well below this magnificent LP. these madmen from Denmark Vikings come forward to take over the European and world scene through an ingenious combination of Death, Viking, Folk and some Finnish Humppa passages through the inclusion of mandolins, flutes and accordions. For a fan of Folk Metal this band sound like the best moments of bands like Finntroll, Otyg or Metsatöll, keeping the festive spirit and encourages drunk raise our glasses and shout in unison with colleagues.

7 - Kalmah - 12 GAUGE
One of the most consistent records of the Finnish quintet

Kokko,
which will bring together the Melodic Death peculiar to Northern Europe, with more typical sounds of Power and Thrash Metal ... good songs, deep, throaty, keyboards, fast, sharp guitars, melody and solos everywhere ingredients are incredible sixth album by a group that for many, it is considered one of the heavyweights in the European extreme metal. After his loose "Prevail", this Canadian quartet is reborn from its ashes and decides to take that sound exposure in 2004 through its excellent " Serenity in Fire. " Far gone are the days when sound was focused more on the brutality and speed than anything else. Now this band is able to offer power to the double bass, courtesy of the brilliant and talented Max Duhamel - and heartbreaking voices from the vast Maurizio Iacono, without forgetting the melody with fast riffs but at the same time harmonics. All in all a very good album that will deliver satisfying both fans of Death Metal end, as those who prefer their more melodic flow, and even for those who enjoy the works of great drummers.

5 - LABYRINTH - RETURN TO HEAVEN DENIED PT. 2 A MIDNIGHT AUTUMN'S DREAM
In 1998 many of us were witness to one of the best albums made in recent human history: "Return To Heaven Denied" of the hitherto nascent Italian band,
Labyrinth.
After this great album, the band he experimented with progressive sounds that were rarely successful. It would take 12 years for us again delivered an album to live up to his most notable work, all in large part to the return of guitarist orginario, Mr. Olaf Thorsen. Fast power metal progressive smoothing of transitions, keyboards fantastic and the melodious voice of Rob Tyrant evoke the best moments of this band as if it were a harmonious dream, with flawless production and a perfect balance between melody and speed that will not allow bored a single second.
Highlights: "A Painting on the Wall", "Princess of the Night" and "A Midnight Autumn's Dream"

4 - ORPHANED LAND - THE WAY OF NEVER ENDING ORwarriOR
After listening to several times (an issue which is absolutely necessary), I can come only one word to describe: MAJESTIC. This album is a perfect balance between strength, melody and technical passages adorned with folk sounds from the middle east (not forget that the band is Israeli). The production is great, possibly the best in the discography of Orphaned Land - and despite being a record of more than 80 minutes long, not a single second wasted because the album is divided into three parts: The first fully rendered to the folk sounds combined with the purest progressive metal, a more melodic second part takes over our ears and makes a perfect bridge to a third phase could be described as pure speed. A record that after being heard about 3 or 4 times becomes a strange addiction, as the eternal magic of the sands. Highlights: "Sapari" "From Broken Vessels" and "Olate Ha'tamid" Download Link:

3 - Heathen Foray - ARMORED Bards
When I first heard this album, the first thing that came to mind was Amon Amarth, and without being considered as a copy if you could compare the austíacos with Heathen Foray Swedish AA, the former being more melodic variation of the latter. Leaving aside easy comparisons, "Armored Bards" is an album of Melodic Death where also some sounds come together neo-classical and folk. Epic would be the appropriate word to describe the 10 songs that make up this magnificent show of good music, with a structured and well-produced album that offers a perfect role to the lead guitar is always present. Being a young band, with just another job within their discography, the "Armored Bards" represents a formidable and clear path open for this talented quintet. Highlights: "Armored Bards," "Messenger of God" and "Hopfen & Malz"

2 - MEGADETH - RUST IN PEACE LIVE
The love for this album is very simple: MEGADETH No. 20 marks the anniversary of the best thrash metal album ever created, and his lordship General Dave Mustaine decided to play all the songs of such a great album in one concert ... that simple! I love the Rust In Peace and has been - since she was 15 years old - in the top 5 of my favorite albums, and if the way, Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson-along with new recruits, the talented Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover, decide to play live this masterpiece with great energy and emotion, I need more reasons to condsiderar the "Live Rust in Peace" as one of the best albums of 2010.

1 - FEAR FACTORY - Mechanize
After many internal disputes, FEAR FACTORY sand back to the hand of its founder and original guitarist Dino Cazares, signing as the new drummer of the legendary, talented and semi-god Gene Hoglan (ex-Death, Dark Angel, ex-Forbidden, Strapping Young Lad, ex-Testament .) With this revamped lineup, and after 5 years off a lot reborn Fear Factory heavier and faster than ever. Despite the undeniable talent of their drummer, Raymond Herrera, there is something special at the playing of Gene Hoglan cold that leaves us all with its indescribable and inhuman speed and technique that are constantly hit the pads. Besides that, the return of Dino Cazares redefines the classic sound of the guitar riffs industrial / death / thrash house brand, along with the familiar voice of Burton C. Bell, who struggles among the most wrenching guttural, but desperate to clean vocals. An aggressive and devastating comeback that wiped out everything done this year, without respite or shamelessly with such thunderous sounds that make us feel as our muscles and bones are crushed without mercy or remorse. The machine is still alive!
Highlights: "Industrial Discipline" (the song of the fucking year), "Powershifter", "Controlled Demolition", "Designing the Enemy" and "Final Exit" Download Link: http://www

I can only wish poisoning levels etílicias biblical / diluvian during this final year, and expecting a 2011 full of good music. If things out properly, I hope to be writing the respective list next December of 2011 from across the world, while all Colombians are rotting in its damn banana plantation of the underworld. Until that happens, beer, vodka, whiskey and even the damn liquor invandan his veins as his eardrums appreciate being pampered with good metal!
